With a history of more than 15 years in ‘the WIFI’, Jan Joris Kneppers has come into contact with all kinds of situations with wireless, and he has devised and developed numerous solutions. The years of experience with Ekahau (market leader when it comes to wireless design/measurement software) provide a wealth of insights and a broad expertise. After a sales-related career, Jan Joris has chosen to go ‘into the field’. Putting the acquired knowledge of both the software and wireless access points and antennas into practice and coming up with solutions that really benefit end users remains, according to Jan Joris, “the most beautiful thing there is”.
As a ‘Lead Wireless Engineer’, Jan Joris has gained experience in hospitality environments, shopping centres, schools, business and office buildings and complex industrial environments. As WIFI Wizard No. 1, he leads a team consisting of smart, young engineers and seasoned, experienced WIFI entities.
Sending data or signal back and forth via a cable is ‘tangible’ when it comes to communication, WIFI on the other hand is a different story!
Thanks to smart techniques, we now shoot large streams of 1s and 0s (DATA) through the air, that is also just MAGICAL!
“Magic through your air” makes smartphones smart, tablets super handy and laptops are both business and private mobile workstations and are fully integrated into our daily lives. As a matter of course, we video conference, ‘slur’ social media and shop without leaving the house.
The ever-smarter technology demands the utmost from (business) networks, and the expectation is that the demand for more bandwidth will not decrease! Wireless network installations therefore increasingly require a thorough and structured approach: always looking for improvements, monitoring and adjustments where necessary from the current situation.
